Species: White Tiger
Ren has a very rare blood type known as [RH-Null], or the Golden Blood. Meaning anyone can accept his blood type, but only he can accept blood that is also [RH-Null]. It makes him very lethargic / tired, physically weak, and sometimes sick often. About 40 people on the planet have this kind of blood so Ren makes sure to keep himself safe. A fatal wound or great amount of blood loss could kill him, as a blood transfusion would be close to impossible.
(Also there are other symptoms, but I'm keeping those off. )
PERSONALITY
He does have a bad personality, so don't get offended if he brushes you off or ignores you. It's just how he is. He keeps away from people and hates being in the presence of others or large crowds. It makes him feel unsafe. He will do anything to keep himself safe. Eventually, if he finds someone trustworthy or safe enough to be around, he might open up, if even a little bit. If that ever happens he can be pretty talkative and like a normal cat; wouldn't be able to tell he is a tiger at that point. even so, it's a rare sight to see him smile or show much emotion. He doesn't do it all too often, seeing it as showing weakness as well.
But the moment someone breaks his trust, it will be close to impossible to make that up and he would deem that person dangerous. Even so, he couldn't bring himself to hate that person, depending who they might be. He's had awful experiences with any species of dog, or dog hybrids, so anyone like that would have harder times befriending him, if they can. He has but a few exceptions.
All in all he has a very complicated personality, so not many people approach him.
APPEARANCE
He is very plain looking. Anything flashy would bring too much attention and that would be troublesome for him. He keeps his hair unruly. His facials expressions are very limited. He doesn't smile very much at all and keeps a blank and uninteresting look on his face; not many things 'wow' him or cause a reaction out of him. Clothing wise he wears dark colours at times, but light coloured shirts, specifically light blue shirts are preferred. It depends on whatever he finds to wear. It's either black or light blue.
BACKSTORY
In the forest where Ren was born there used to be quite a few white tigers. The local people from villages used to worship them, thinking they were some kind of gods. Word spread about the white tigers and those who hunted for fun flocked to this forest in hopes of killing one for the skin, better yet catch one to bring back. This is how Ren ended up where he is currently. Kill the mother tiger and ship the cub to some zoo that would pay the hunter a nice price.
After tests were run with the imported animals, they found out about his blood type and kept him separate from other tigers. He lived in a zoo for a few years before discovering that he could shift from human to tiger and used that as an advantage to escape, causing an obvious uproar about a certain missing tiger. With his blood condition and the fact that from now on he would be alone, he learned the hard way to protect himself and only himself. He kept away from people and found not to trust anyone. Living alone and hiding from hunters and protecting himself was his only mindset. He had no desire to care for anyone or anything else.
There other reasons he is the way he is when it comes to certain subjects and topics in his life, but those will not be mentioned unless he actually ever tells.
A hard and taxing life, but it works and has kept him alive all these years.
